The first scheduled flight has already taken place.

Belavia operated its first scheduled flight of the season to Phuket. The plane landed at the international airport this morning, according to the airline’s social media posts. And very soon, a direct flight will connect Minsk and Bangkok, reports “Onliner”.

Belavia launched its flight program to the Thai island earlier this year. Now, the flights will become regular—the next one is scheduled for tomorrow.

It is also reported that starting October 29, flights between Minsk and Phuket will operate twice a week. Outbound flights will depart on Thursdays and Sundays, and return flights on Fridays and Mondays.

Incidentally, this summer Belavia announced the launch of regular flights from Minsk to Bangkok. The first flight to the Thai capital is scheduled for October 25. The flights are scheduled to operate once a week—on Sundays—using an Airbus A330-200 wide-body aircraft.
