This city is home to the data center of the Federal Tax Service of Russia.

Ukraine attacked Gorodets in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, where the Russian Federal Tax Service’s data center is located. A Ukrainian monitoring Telegram channel, Exilenova+, reported explosions in the area around the facility. According to the channel, drone debris fell in the city, and traffic was temporarily halted.

Mikhail Klimarev, Executive Director of the “Internet Protection Society,” told "Ekho of Moscow" that the Federal Tax Service has two interchangeable data centers: one in Dubna, near Moscow, and one in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Tax data, as well as civil registry records and the register of legal entities, are stored there. Cadastral data may also be stored there.

Russian authorities have not commented on the reports regarding the attack or possible damage to the data center.

Earlier, the website Charter97.org reported that Russian occupiers in Luhansk were met with “Armageddon”.
