In Russia, 44-year-old actor Andrey Terentyev, who rose to fame for his role as Spirt in the science fiction film *We Are from the Future*, has suddenly passed away. Russian media reported the actor’s death, according to “Glavred”.
According to Russian sources and reports from the actor’s loved ones, he passed away on the night of October 19–20. The cause of his sudden death was an advanced, open stomach ulcer, which triggered acute heart failure and cardiac arrest. Representatives of the Russian film company “Triix Media” expressed their condolences over this unexpected loss.
“Audiences will remember him for his many roles in our films and TV series. It’s hard to believe he’s no longer with us. May he rest in peace,” said executive producer Inessa Yurchenko.

Andrey Terentyev played leading roles in the films “Filin,” “The Defendant,” and “The Fugitive.” He also appeared in “Sea Devils 4,” “A Matter of Honor,” “Pilgrim,” “We Are from the Future,” and other projects. The actor will be buried in Kazan following a memorial service in St. Petersburg.

Ukraine Sanctions
Andrey Terentyev did not publicly make any detailed political statements regarding the full-scale war in Ukraine. However, in 2021, he starred in the Russian feature film *Solntsepek*, which depicts the start of Russia’s war against Ukraine in 2014 in the Donbas. Because of his participation in this film—which the Ukrainian side and the Ministry of Culture classified as propaganda—the actor was added to the list of individuals posing a threat to Ukraine’s national security.
