The Ukrainian General Staff has revealed details of the successful attacks.
On the night of October 24, Ukrainian defense forces struck the “Tolyattikauchuk” plant, “Proton-Elektrotex” JSC in the city of Orel, and an aircraft at the “Yeisk” airfield.
This was reported by the Telegram channel of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, the destruction of the main production building of Proton-Elektrotex JSC in the city of Orel, Orel Region, Russian Federation, has been confirmed.
This complicates the production of components for cruise and ballistic missiles, which the enemy is using to strike Ukrainian cities.
JSC “Proton-Elektrotex” is a leading Russian manufacturer of optoelectronic equipment and devices with a full production cycle, from crystals to finished products.
Among its products are modules for the S-71 “Kover” air-launched cruise missiles and inverter switches for the 9M723 “Iskander-M” ballistic missiles. As part of this cooperation, the company also participates in the production of “Pantsir-S1” air defense systems and their variants.
The “Tolyattikauchuk” plant in the city of Tolyatti, Samara Region, Russian Federation, has also been struck.
An explosion and fire were reported in the vicinity of the plant.
The targeting of such facilities disrupts the supply chain of raw materials for the Russian missile program.
The plant produces synthetic rubbers, monomers, fractions, and high-octane gasoline additives. Synthetic rubbers are used to produce solid rocket propellant for tactical and ballistic missiles.
In addition, an aircraft at the “Yeisk” airfield in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation was struck. The extent of the damage is being assessed.
