Transmashholding will be the supplier.
The Minsk Metro plans to launch Russian-made driverless trains. This was reported on Russia’s “Channel One,” as noted by the website Blizko.by.
The supplier will be “Transmashholding”—a Russian company that owns the Metravagonmash plant in Mytishchi. It is this company’s trains that have been serving the capital’s subway system since its very inception.
The report did not disclose details regarding the timing or volume of deliveries of driverless trains for the Minsk Metro. According to the anchor, this issue is currently “on the agenda.”
“Just a short while ago, we launched the first such train in St. Petersburg. The process is underway, so to speak,” said Kirill Lipa, CEO of Transmashholding JSC, on the air.
