The Latest Russian Heavy Flamethrower System, The TOS-3 "Dragon," Has Been Destroyed On The Front Lines For The First Time

Video evidence.

The destruction of Russia’s newest heavy flamethrower system, the TOS-3 “Dragon,” has been confirmed on the front lines for the first time. The enemy vehicle was struck by operators from the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade.

According to Censor.NET, the Russian heavy flamethrower system was spotted while traveling on a highway near the town of Shebekino in the Belgorod Region of the Russian Federation.

After detecting the target, Ukrainian operators struck the Russian vehicle. According to publicly available information, the TOS-3 “Dragon” was destroyed as a result of the attack.

TOS-3 “Dragon” is Russia’s newest heavy flamethrower system mounted on a tracked tank chassis. It was developed based on operational and combat experience with the previous TOS-1A “Solntsepek” and TOS-2 “Tosochka” systems.

The Russians did not begin demonstrating the new system until 2024, and reports of its appearance directly in the combat zone emerged much later.

Thus, the destruction of the vehicle near Shebekino marked the first confirmed instance of a Russian TOS-3 “Dragon” being destroyed on the front lines.
