The Regional Executive Committees, As Well As The Minsk City Executive Committee, Will Include Representatives Of The KGB And The KGK

Lukashenko has issued a new decree.

The regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee will include representatives from the state security and state control committees. This is provided for in a decree by Alexander Lukashenko, which was published on the National Legal Internet Portal.

Previously, in addition to representatives of the central government, the composition of the regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee included heads of regional internal affairs departments and other officials, as decided by the chair of the regional executive committee, the Minsk City Executive Committee “in consultation with the ‘president.’”

Now, the following have been added to their ranks:

the chair of the regional State Control Committee; the head of the structural unit of the State Control Committee responsible for exercising state control within the territory of Minsk;

the head of the regional department of the State Security Committee and the head of the department of the State Security Committee for Minsk and the Minsk Region.
