The Democratic Leader In The U.S. Senate Declared Victory

According to the politician, "relief is on the way."

U.S. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer declared victory for his party after the release of preliminary results of the midterm congressional elections, which indicate that the Republicans have lost their majority in the upper chamber.

This was reported by CNN. According to preliminary results, the Democrats have already secured 51 seats in the Senate, giving them a slim majority.

“Despite all the challenges, we Democrats have won the Senate, and we have a few words for the American people: relief is on the way,” Schumer said.

He noted that voters had expressed dissatisfaction with high prices, chaos, and corruption. According to the politician, Republicans are not listening to what voters are saying.

He called the election results “a redrawing of the Senate map” and said that now “Democrats must fulfill their responsibilities.”
