Russian military officials describe the situation at their positions as one of complete helplessness.
According to information from the “Atesh” guerrilla movement, Russian air defense units in the south of the Russian Federation are facing a shortage of ammunition for the “Pantsir-S” systems and “S-400” systems. This was reported by agents of the movement serving in one of the anti-aircraft missile regiments of the 51st Air Defense Division of the Southern Military District.
According to “Atesh”, missile stocks are running low due to the widespread use of Ukrainian attack drones and “decoys”. Russian crews are forced to expend their ammunition to intercept them, and in some cases, they are no longer able to shoot down the drones.
One servicemember described the situation at the positions as one of complete helplessness. The movement also claims that some of the ammunition and dozens of modern air defense systems have been redeployed from the southern front to Valdai to guard Vladimir Putin’s residence and strengthen Moscow’s defenses.
Meanwhile, the southern regions of the Russian Federation continue to come under attack, and the weakening of air defenses is allowing Ukrainian UAVs to reach their targets.
Among the Russian military-industrial complex facilities and critical infrastructure targets struck in recent months, “Atesh” lists the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery in the Rostov Region, the “Atlant Aero” plant, which manufactures drones and components, and the Makhachkala commercial seaport.
