Zelensky: Umerov Was Tasked With Peace Talks With Russian Federation

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has discussed with the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov the preparation of new negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation. He noted that there are no meaningful results precisely because of the Russians.

Zelensky reported that the state continues to "work on purpose" on a daily basis so that the next round of negotiations could bring results for Ukraine and the world.

He emphasized that Kiev will do everything necessary and will definitely not be an obstacle to peace. At the same time, the president noted that Washington saw that the problem lies in Moscow.

"Last time in Geneva, the American side clearly saw that the Russians are the reason for the lack of really meaningful results. And the next meeting should not be empty, it is possible. We talked today with Rustem Umerov about some aspects of the preparation of the negotiations," - said Zelensky.

In addition, Umerov was instructed to work more with friends of Ukraine in the Middle East and Turkey, "so that there they feel involved and can help more".

Also, Zelensky expressed gratitude to everyone who is really ready to help support Ukraine and our state. In addition, he announced new meetings with Europeans.

"My meetings next week with European partners are already planned. We will coordinate in detail, so that Europe will be in all processes and become only stronger," - summarized the President.
