A fire broke out.
Explosions were heard in Cherepovets in the Vologda region of the Russian Federation on the night of March 27. Local authorities complained of a UAV attack on the Cherepovets industrial area and "falling debris."
The Apatit chemical plant of the PhosAgro group, Europe's largest producer of phosphorus-containing fertilizers, was attacked; Severstal could also have been hit. Details of the attack are reported by Telegram channel Exilenova+.
What is known
At around 3 a.m., Exilenova+, citing reports from residents of Cherepovets, reported an attack on Apatit JSC (the Cherepovets chemical cluster of the PhosAgro group).
"This is Europe's largest producer of phosphate-based fertilizers, phosphoric and sulfuric acids, and one of the leaders in Russia in terms of NPK fertilizer output," the channel explained.
The Russians leaked a large number of videos and photos online, capturing both the moments of the arrivals and the blaze of fire that erupted afterward.

The governor of the Vologda region, Georgy Filimonov, also confirmed the attack - without giving details.
"There is a UAV attack on the Cherepovets industrial zone. Air defense is in action. Representatives of emergency services are working at the site of falling debris. Please remain calm. The information is being clarified. I will keep informed," the official wrote.

In the meantime, Exilenova+ reported that another enterprise important for the Russian economy, the Severstal steel plant, is likely to be hit: one of the furnaces there is allegedly on fire.
In the meantime, Russian air defense, trying to shoot down the unknown good drones, was traditionally pounding the city.
