Ukraine Wants To Revise Its Curfew

The prime minister announced changes in response to the Russian Federation's new tactics.

The Ukrainian government plans to review its approach to the curfew and citizens’ access to real-time information about air threats. Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi announced this on Telegram. However, he did not specify exactly what changes are being considered.

According to him, the operations of the state, the capital, the economy, and critical infrastructure must be adapted to the new tactics of Russian attacks.

“Prolonged air raid alerts affect not only people’s safety but also the operations of businesses, logistics, transportation, schools, kindergartens, and other areas of life. The enemy is trying to paralyze economic activity in the capital and major cities, so our approaches and response protocols must change,” the head of government noted.

He also reported that the government is working on solutions regarding the operations of businesses and institutions under various types of threats, the organization of logistics and transportation, and the operation of the metro and other infrastructure facilities, with the aim of ensuring better protection for people and the ability to live in our cities and communities.

“We also plan to review our approaches to curfews and citizens’ access to real-time information about air threats—without posing additional security risks,” Koretsky noted.

He stated that the necessary proposals are scheduled to be finalized early next week, presented to the public, and implemented.
