No one was injured as a result of the emergency.

A Blue Origin New Glenn rocket exploded Thursday night at the launch pad at Cape Canaveral in Florida. The rocket's manufacturing company said no one was injured in the accident.

It was reported by CBS News.

"During today's hot fire test, we encountered an anomaly. All personnel are accounted for. We will provide updates as we learn more," Blue Origin said in a statement.

Blue Origin was scheduled to fuel the rocket Thursday night ahead of a planned test launch of the rocket's engines.

Blue Origin, owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, successfully launched its third New Glenn Rocket last month.

This rocket was being prepared to launch its fourth New Glenn mission as early as June 4 to launch 48 satellites for Amazon's Leo internet service, which competes with Ilon Musk's Starlink.

Blue Origin is known to develop rockets, spacecraft and technologies for suborbital and orbital flight. Blue Origin's best known projects are the New Shepard rocket for tourist space flights and the New Glenn heavy rocket for launching satellites.

Blue Origin is one of SpaceX's main competitors in the private space industry and is working with NASA on lunar and space programs.
