The Kremlin is panic-stricken by attacks by the Ukrainian armed forces.
Parades for May 9 have been canceled in 15 regions of the aggressor country Russia. This is reported on May 6 by the Astra edition with reference to its own calculation.
In particular, the complete cancellation on May 9 was announced in such regions:
Belgorod region;
Voronezh region;
Kursk region;
Krasnodar region;
Leningrad region;
Nizhegorod region;
Novgorod region;
Pskov region;
Ryazan region;
Saratov region;
Rostov region;
Kaluga region;
Orlovsk region;
Bryansk region;
Chuvashia.

The May 9 parade on Red Square in Moscow this year will be held without military equipment, only with a marching column. The number of guests will be reduced to a few hundred people instead of the usual thousands, and the parade itself will last less than an hour.
On the night of May 4, there was an explosion in Moscow due to a drone attack. The incident occurred five days before the scheduled May 9 parade, which Russian authorities traditionally turn into a propaganda show.
On May 4, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukrainian drones could appear over the May 9 parade in Moscow.
"Russia has announced a parade on May 9, but there will be no military equipment there. This will be the first time in many years that they cannot afford the presence of armaments at the parade. It shows that they are no longer as strong as they used to be. We must continue to pressure them with sanctions," the president said at the opening of the 8th summit of the European Political Community in Yerevan.
In Russia, Zelensky's words were met with yet another threat. Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the Russian State Duma's defense committee, threatened Ukraine with an "inevitable response" in case of provocations during the parade in Moscow.
In addition, on May 5, Moscow and St. Petersburg began turning off mobile Internet before the May 9 parade.
