Muscovites Gave Out The Truth About The May 9 Parade

Russians see Putin's weakness.

The cancellation of the passage of military equipment through Red Square in Moscow during the May 9 parade due to fears of Ukrainian attacks has become one of the most discussed topics of recent days. Many analysts believe that such a decision by the Kremlin looks like a demonstration of Vladimir Putin's weakness. Similar assessments are heard from some Muscovites, whom SOTA journalists interviewed on the streets of the capital.

So, one of the residents of Moscow directly stated:

"I think that May 9 is an incomprehensible event. The country suffers defeat on all fronts and celebrates what?"

Another interlocutor suggested that Russia is "doing something wrong" if the authorities can no longer guarantee the usual parade format.

"I don't know how to phrase it. Russia must be doing something wrong. If we can't spend a beautiful holiday the way we want and the way we used to spend it. I mean, it was a symbol. Vladimir Vladimirovich came up with the idea to celebrate it widely. And something went wrong. Probably something in the conservatory should be adjusted," the man said.

A part of the respondents also wondered why the authorities fear for the safety of military equipment, but are ready to bring a large number of people to Red Square if the threat really exists.
