Ushakov spelled out the real plans of the Russian Federation in his statement.
Russia's new ultimatum on peace talks with Ukraine and the United States shows that the Kremlin has no plans to end the war even in case of control over Donbass.
About this RBC-Ukraine was told by a source in the Ukrainian president's team.
Commenting on the statement by Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov, the source said that Moscow's opinion does not matter in the context of the negotiations. What matters is the opinion of US President Donald Trump and Washington, which, like the Ukrainians, believe that the war should be ended and a decent format should be sought within the framework of diplomacy.
The source also drew attention to Ushakov's words that after the withdrawal of the Ukrainian military from Donbass, the fighting will only be "suspended."
"He is the one who blabbed exactly what they are going to do and what we have been telling partners all along: they want Donbass, but they don't want to stop the war even after that. That is, their plan is just to get a bridgehead," he added.
