A Thunderstorm Hit Minsk

The streets of the capital were flooded.

Minsk has been hit by a thunderstorm front. According to eyewitness reports, the storm has already swept through the neighborhoods of Uruchye, Vostok, Stepyanka, and Drazhnya, reports smartpress.by.

“In the near future, downpours and thunderstorms—and in some areas, hail and squalls will affect most of the capital region,” warns the specialized Telegram channel “Meteovibe.”

As of 1:16 p.m., trolleybuses No. 29 and 61 have come to a standstill on Knorina and Kalinovsky Streets due to high water levels.

As of 1:26 p.m., Gorodetskaya Street was flooded, resulting in the suspension of bus routes No. 99 and 99d.
