Romania Declared An Air Raid Alert Following An Attack By Russia

Military aircraft were scrambled.

On the night of June 26, Romania declared an air raid alert in response to a Russian attack on Ukrainian cities along the Danube, near Romania’s borders, according to "European Truth".

The press service of the Romanian Ministry of Defense noted that on the night of June 25–26, Russia once again attacked targets in the south of the Odesa region with strike drones.

At 03:47, following a decision by the National Military Command Center, an air raid alert was issued for residents in the north of Tulcea County.

At 03:57, an IAR 330 Puma helicopter of the Romanian Air Force took off to monitor the movement of aerial targets east of the city of Sulina, located near the Ukrainian town of Vilkovo.

The all-clear was given at 04:23. No violations of Romanian airspace or crashes of aerial targets on Romanian territory were recorded.
