Simonyan Insulted 700,000 Armenians
Margarita Simonyan

The propagandist suggested banning them from entering Russia for life.

One of the Kremlin’s leading propagandists, Russia Today editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan, continues to incite hatred against the Armenian people.

She made derogatory remarks about Armenians who support their country’s government. The incident occurred on a Russian state television channel, according to Dialog.UA.

Simonyan called the more than 700,000 Armenian citizens who voted for Nikol Pashinyan’s pro-European party in the recent parliamentary elections “ungrateful (bad people—ed.)”.

She demanded that these people be barred from entering Russia and, for some reason, Georgia. “I suggest tracking them down on social media—it’s very easy to do these days. Look, border guards do this at the border easily and without any fuss, both here and in Georgia… Track down those Armenians on social media who support Pashinyan. And that’s it. Entry into the Russian Federation is prohibited. Forever. Because if you support Pashinyan, that means you support Russophobia. If you support Russophobia, that means you hate Russia,” the Kremlin propagandist declared.

She also added that Armenians have “had their fill of sweets” and now need “the stick.”

This amounts to a full-scale incitement of hatred against a neighboring people, following the same script that Russia used against Ukraine prior to its invasion.
