What is known about this?
Russian President Putin and Belarusian dictator Lukashenko are holding “closed-door talks” in Valdai (Novgorod Region) for the second day in a row.
This was reported to TASS by Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
“I can confirm that Putin and Lukashenko are indeed continuing their talks today at the residence in Valdai,” he said.
It should be noted that neither the Kremlin nor Lukashenko’s press service has published any photos from the meeting or disclosed any details.
Kremlin correspondent Alexander Yunashov claims that “extremely sensitive issues” are being discussed.
Shortly before his trip to Russia, Lukashenko announced that he was preparing for an extended business trip. The dictator, however, did not specify which countries he planned to visit.
