Ukrainian Armed Forces Soldiers Responded Wittily To Putin's Statement

The Kremlin leader announced that fighting would take place on Russian territory.

The Joint Forces Operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine commented on Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s statement regarding the “encirclement” of Ukrainian units in Stary Oskol, Belgorod Oblast, Russian Federation.

“We are convinced that the head of the Russian Federation is more aware of the combat readiness of his troops than we are, so we suggest viewing the fighting for Stary Oskol as a warning on his part,” — the statement reads.

On June 28, Putin in an interview with Russian media propagandists stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were “almost surrounded” in the area of the Stary Oskol River. However, Stary Oskol is not a river but a city in the Belgorod Region of the Russian Federation, more than 100 km from the border with Ukraine.

“Unfortunately, at the moment we are only working on advancing toward this city, which, as is well known, is located in the northeast of the Belgorod Region of the Russian Federation,” the Group stated.
