The Attacks On Russia's Logistics Infrastructure Had An Unexpected Effect

The Russians are diverting resources from the front.

Russian troops are increasingly stepping up security along logistics routes in the wake of Ukrainian strikes. This requires additional resources.

This was reported by Charter97.org, citing Telegram channel of the head of the Center for the Study of the Occupation, Petro Andriushchenko.

“The Russians’ mobile fire groups are a brilliant way for the Ukrainian Defense Forces to draw Russian resources away from the front lines. No exaggeration,” Andriushchenko stated.

According to him, Russian military units are currently moving primarily in convoys of up to five vehicles, including trucks. Each such convoy is accompanied by one to three mobile fire groups.

Andriushchenko noted that this week alone, between 30 and 50 trucks were recorded daily traveling toward Donetsk. Slightly fewer vehicles were moving toward Berdyansk. In addition, fuel tankers are being transported under heavy guard.

According to his estimates, at least 44 mobile fire teams were deployed simultaneously in the area around occupied Mariupol alone.

“A reckless use of resources with questionable effectiveness”—that is how Andriushchenko assessed the occupiers’ tactics.

In his view, the need to allocate significant forces to escort convoys has become one of the consequences of Ukrainian strikes on Russian logistics.
