Russian composer Konstantin Meladze has secretly obtained Georgian citizenship—this is the producer’s second passport, following his Ukrainian one, which he renewed in 2024, according to "Glavred".

According to Russian propagandists, Meladze is believed to have renounced his Ukrainian passport because, under Georgian law, a citizen cannot hold two passports—the old one must be renounced.

Therefore, the propagandists hope that the composer chose the Georgian passport.

The writer of his brother’s hit songs currently lives in Italy.
