Officials Marked July 3 Without Lukashenko

Lukashenko was absent from the solemn ceremony of laying flowers and wreaths at the Mound of Glory on July 3. The only attendees were Prime Minister Alexander Turchin, the head of the so-called Council of the Republic Natalia Kochanova, the head of the Supreme Court Andrei Shved, the head of the National Bank Roman Golovchenko, the deputy head of the Supreme National Council Alexander Kosinets, and the head of Lukashenko’s administration Dmitry Krutoy.
The State Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Volfovich delivered a ceremonial speech.
A wreath was laid at the Mound of Glory on behalf of Lukashenko, and his press service issued a written congratulatory message. A year ago, Alexander Lukashenko attended the same ceremony with his three sons.
The latest report from Lukashenko’s press service on the evening of July 2 stated that he had flown out of Myanmar. According to data from the flightradar24 service, Lukashenko’s plane landed in Minsk at 3:47 a.m. Belarusian time.
