Propagandist Simonyan Recalled The Days Of Food Ration Cards In Russia
Margarita Simonyan

She used to talk about “Kyiv in Two Days.”

Kremlin propagandist Margarita Simonyan recalled during a live TV broadcast that food used to be rationed in Russia, and then called for patience and calm. This was reported by “Dialog”.

Simonyan acknowledged that a very difficult situation has developed in Russia, which invaded Ukraine. The country is experiencing a massive shortage of gasoline and diesel fuel. In many regions, there is no fuel, and where there is, limits have been imposed.

“No gasoline? Well, I still remember—my generation remembers—how food used to be rationed… In my city, Krasnodar, in 1992 there were coupons; we’d cut them out and go to the stores. And personally, when I was 11 or 12 years old, I used to go with buckets to get water, not Coca-Cola. A barrel would arrive, and we had to go to it with buckets and jerrycans to get water... That really happened. We all remember it. “It’s okay, we got through it. And we’ll get through this now too,” the Kremlin propagandist declared.

Simonyan effectively blamed the “British” for the poor socio-economic situation in Russia.

It’s worth noting that propagandist Simonyan is the author of the phrase “Kyiv in two days.” She was the one who coined this meme in 2022.
