Zelenskyy Honored The Actor Who Played A Belarusian Partisan

He actively supports Ukraine.

On August 21, Kyiv hosted the third summit of the UNITED24 government fundraising platform—UNITED24 MODE—marking the fourth anniversary of its founding. Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked donors for their support of Ukraine. He awarded six people the Order of Merit. Among them were actress Catherine Winnick and her colleague Liev Schreiber.

Lev Shriber is known for his roles in the series “Ray Donovan” (lead role), the films “X-Men: First Class,” Wolverine” (Sabretooth), the “Scream” franchise (Cotton Wiry), “Spotlight,” and “The Notebook.”

Schreiber is also known for his role as the partisan Zusya Belsky, whose unit operated in Belarus, in the film “The Challenge.” His on-screen brother was Daniel Craig.

Lev Shriber actively supports Ukraine: he has Ukrainian roots (his great-grandfather emigrated from Ukraine), and since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, he has repeatedly spoken out publicly in support of the Ukrainian people, visited Ukraine, and co-founded the charity BlueCheck Ukraine, which delivers humanitarian aid to combat zones.
