A Turkish Airlines plane flying from Antalya to St. Petersburg made an unscheduled landing at Minsk National Airport on the evening of August 31. This was reported by the country’s Ministry of Transport and Communications.
“The reason was a disruptive passenger on board. As soon as he was handed over to law enforcement, the plane took off and continued its flight along the route,” the ministry explained.
According to public flight-tracking services, the flight was operated by an Airbus A321. The plane was delayed at Minsk Airport for approximately 40 minutes.
The Ministry of Transport also confirmed that the aircraft had no technical malfunctions. No further details about the incident have been reported yet.
