Putin's Office Issued A Statement On The Incident Involving Zelenskyy's Plane In Moldova

Peskov imagined an “escalation of the war.”
The plane carrying Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was reportedly not subjected to threat from a drone during its departure from Chisinau.
This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian dictator Dmitry Peskov, according to TASS.
According to him, Ukraine allegedly continues to resort to various provocations in an attempt to “drag its Western backers into the war.”
“As for the alleged threat to the plane, there was none. The Ukrainians themselves acknowledged this,” Peskov said.
The incident involving Zelenskyy’s plane
As a reminder, the country’s Prime Minister Jonas Gar Støre reported on the incident involving Zelenskyy’s plane en route to Norway. He stated that the Ukrainian president’s plane “was nearly shot down by a drone during takeoff from Moldova.”
It should be noted that the Moldovan government confirmed that Zelenskyy’s departure from their country to Norway on September 8 was delayed due to a Russian drone in the country’s airspace.
Permission to take off was granted after it became known that the Russian drone had crashed and exploded near the village of Starye Mikhaileny in the Rîșcani district. The crash site was approximately 160 km from Chisinau International Airport.
In total, three departing flights and four arriving flights were delayed at the airport due to the air alert.
In addition, Moldova’s ambassador to the U.S., Vladislav Kulminsky, stated that the Russian drone that violated Moldova’s airspace may have been deliberately flying toward the Ukrainian president’s plane.
