In Vitebsk, A “magician And Sorcerer” Who Had Appeared On Television Was Detained In A Store

He hosted live broadcasts on the “possible uses of money magic.”

In Vitebsk, a 44-year-old parapsychologist, shaman, and esoteric practitioner—who eight years ago hosted shows on the Odessa television channel “Zdorovye”—was detained on suspicion of stealing clothing from a store. An unofficial Telegram channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on the man’s detention.

According to the ministry, the man had traveled from a “neighboring country” to Belarus to visit a girlfriend. On the way, he stopped by a brand-name clothing store, picked out a tracksuit, hid it in the pockets of his jacket, and left without paying for the merchandise.

Investigators detained the suspect within an hour of the call to the police. A criminal case has been opened against the man.

An investigation revealed that the suspect provides “psychic” services and has even created a video blog on a popular video-sharing platform. As “Zerkalo” discovered, about eight years ago he hosted a show on the Odessa television channel “Zdorovye.” There, he presented himself as a “shaman, esotericist, and parapsychologist.” On his shows, he discussed the “powers of money magic,” “energy vampirism,” and other topics.

He had previously been charged with drunk driving. He failed to pay that fine and fled abroad, according to an unofficial Telegram channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
