Putin's Office Responds To Zelenskyy's Proposal To Meet At The G20 Summit

The statement was made immediately after the Ukrainian president's public address.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has not yet decided whether to attend the G20 summit.

This was stated by Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov, according to RBC-Ukraine, citing "Izvestia."

According to Ushakov, the possibility of Putin traveling to the G20 summit in Miami has not even been discussed yet.

“Work is proceeding at the expert level; our experts are constantly working on documents for the upcoming summit—in other words, everything is proceeding as usual. As for the possibility of Putin’s trip—this issue hasn’t even been discussed by us yet,” said the Russian dictator’s aide.

Ushakov also confirmed that the Russian authorities’ cooperation with the American side is continuing.

He added that a “friendly and constructive atmosphere” prevails during the talks.

It is important to note that Ushakov’s statement came immediately after the media published a public appeal from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Putin.

Zelenskyy effectively proposed that the Kremlin leader hold a face-to-face meeting specifically during the “Group of Twenty” summit in December 2026.

According to Zelenskyy, he is ready to fly there if the Russian dictator is present.

“We must be there. We must meet, talk, and make a decision,” the Ukrainian president emphasized.
