The Kremlin Said A Meeting Between Zelenskyy And Putin In Miami Was Impossible

Moscow immediately set a strict condition.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced his willingness to meet with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin at the G20 summit in Miami to negotiate an end to the war. The Kremlin immediately rejected this possibility, calling it “impossible.”

This was reported by France 24.

In an interview released on Saturday, the Ukrainian president said he was ready to meet with Putin at the G20 summit, which will take place on December 14–15. Zelenskyy insisted that Ukraine is in a stronger negotiating position due to Russia’s losses on the battlefield.

There is no confirmation yet as to whether Putin plans to attend the summit at all.

“That’s impossible,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told AFP reporters in New Delhi, reiterating Moscow’s demand: a meeting is possible only in the Russian capital.

When asked whether the Kremlin is considering an alternative venue for a meeting with Zelenskyy, Peskov replied that the willingness to meet exists—"in Moscow."
