Poland's Most Popular Travel Destinations Have Been Named

Price is still important, but it is no longer the only factor in making a choice.
According to a report by the Polish Chamber of Tourism, this year Poles most often chose Turkey, Greece, and Egypt as their vacation destinations. The top ten also included Spain, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Malta, and Croatia, according to Polskie Radio.
The Polish Chamber of Tourism analyzed organized vacation destinations. The results show that Poles most often choose all-inclusive tours, traveling in July for seven to eight days and spending an average of 3,200 zlotys per person.
“As for our choices, Turkey has held the top spot for many years, as it boasts large resorts and convenient flight connections,” notes Katarzyna Turasenska of the Polish Chamber of Tourism. “There are hotels geared exclusively toward adults, as well as resorts designed for families with children of various ages. That is precisely why Turkey is the undisputed leader, far ahead of other countries.”
Katarzyna Turasenska explains that when choosing a vacation destination, Poles are guided primarily by stable weather and value for money:
“Poles also love to visit Greece and Spain, including the Canary Islands. We like Italy and Egypt. Interest is also growing in countries such as Albania, Cyprus, and Malta.”
The preferences of Polish tourists are changing. According to a representative of the Polish Chamber of Tourism, Poles have begun to travel more thoughtfully: they compare offers and analyze reviews online. Price is still important, but it is no longer the sole criterion for choosing a destination, as safety, comfort, and quality of service are becoming increasingly important. Customers expect high standards, emphasizes Katarzyna Turasenska.
“Polish tourists are buying not only lodging and transportation, but above all, a sense of safety, comfort, and the assurance that they won’t be left to deal with a problem on their own in the event of unforeseen situations. This is one of the main changes we are seeing in the current travel season,” she says.
Katarzyna Turasenska notes that interest in traveling abroad is steadily growing, though Poland itself remains a popular vacation destination. The Baltic Sea coast remains the leader, followed by the mountains and lakes.
Representatives of the Polish tourism industry have reason to be pleased with this summer’s results. According to the Polish Central Statistical Office, 10 million tourists booked accommodations in the country in July and August 2026.
This is a record figure: it is 2.5% higher than the figures for the same period in 2025 and 22.6% higher than those for 2022. These are preliminary figures based on so-called flash estimates, so it is not yet known what proportion of these 10 million people were Polish citizens and what proportion were foreign tourists.
