The facility is one of the key enterprises in the Russian aviation industry.

On the night of September 15, several Russian regions came under attack by drones and missiles. Online reports mention explosions and strikes on key targets (in Taganrog, Russia, drones attacked a chemical plant in Tolyatti and an airfield in Taganrog — Belarus News — Charter '97), reports “Focus”.

In Taganrog, according to preliminary reports, the Beriev Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex may have been targeted. At this facility, the Russians are engaged, in particular, in the repair and modernization of military aircraft. OSINT analysts reported the attack.

“According to preliminary reports, the Defense Forces launched missile strikes on the G. M. Beriev Taganrog Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex, where military aircraft are repaired and modernized,” analysts write. Footage of the missile attack on Taganrog has appeared online.

It should be noted that this facility is one of Russia’s key enterprises engaged in the development and repair of military aircraft. Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that this complex, in particular, is used to repair A-50 long-range early warning aircraft and Tu-95MS strategic bombers, which Russia is using in the war against Ukraine.
