Poland Will Supply Ukraine With Hard-to-Find Missiles For The Patriot System

Poland plans to transfer a certain number of missiles for the Patriot system, which are critically needed to counter Russian ballistic missiles. The exact number of missiles has not been specified.
This will be part of the next package of military aid, and the deliveries are being coordinated with NATO allies, including the U.S. administration, according to Rzeczpospolita.
The exact number of missiles has not been disclosed, but Air Force Major General Dr. Irenaeusz Nowak, an Air Force inspector, confirmed Warsaw’s plans.
“As for the stated quantity—although this is classified information—yes… We’re not talking about large-scale deliveries,” he said.

Journalists from the publication contacted the Ministry of National Defense to ask about plans to transfer missiles for Patriot systems to Ukraine. The ministry confirmed that Poland is preparing another aid package for Ukraine.
“The scope of this support is determined by the security interests of the Polish state and the resources of the armed forces, which are assessed by the Chief of the General Staff,” officials stated.
Today, Deputy Minister of Defense Pawel Zalevski also confirmed the information about the Polish aid package but did not disclose any details.
Poland’s Military Aid: What Are the Figures?
In July, the Minister of National Defense reported that the total value of aid provided by Poland to Ukraine at that time amounted to approximately 16.45 billion zlotys. Of this amount, 14.9 billion zlotys was allocated for 2022–2023, while the value of aid for 2024–2026 was estimated at approximately 1.55 billion zlotys (9.4% of the total amount transferred).
A few months ago, Poland delivered five PAC-3 MSE missiles to Ukraine. At that time, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz stated that destroying Russian ballistic missiles over Ukrainian territory—before they reach Poland’s borders—is in Poland’s own security interests.
At the same time, he emphasized that when providing aid, it is necessary to take into account the needs of the armed forces and not jeopardize the defense of Poland’s airspace.
Poland currently has 16 Patriot launchers, and approximately 200 PAC-3 MSE missiles have been contracted for them, although not all of them have been delivered to Poland yet.
