Panic In Moscow: Hundreds Of Drones Attacked The Russian Capital

City officials announced one of the largest attacks of the war.

The drone attack on Moscow on the night of September 18 was one of the largest in recent years.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine reports, citing data from Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin and Russian media.

How many drones were flying toward Moscow

According to Sobyanin, between 8:00 p.m. on September 17 and 7:00 a.m. on September 18, more than 350 drones were flying toward the Moscow region.

Most of the targets were reportedly destroyed while still far from the city. Another 64 drones, according to Sobyanin, were shot down as they approached Moscow.

There is currently no official data on possible damage caused by “falling debris” from the downed drones.

Meanwhile, the day before, the Security Service of Ukraine carried out strikes on the “Rostov-Central” military airfield.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that they had succeeded in striking an An-12 aircraft, two An-26s, and three more helicopters.
