Ten political prisoners, who were released in Belarus on September 16 and subsequently transported to Lithuania, have arrived in Poland, according to “Viasna”.
In total, following negotiations between Lukashenko and the U.S. delegation led by U.S. Special Presidential Envoy John Cole, 25 people were released.
After their release, all 25 people were transported from Belarus to Vilnius. Later, ten of them traveled to Poland.
After the talks, Cole told Reuters that he expects to return to Belarus in about a month to secure the release of more political prisoners. “I hope, hundreds,” he said.
