Taxi Drivers And Transport Companies In Belarus Have Been Billed Tens Of Millions

The taxi market in Belarus has once again come under close scrutiny by the tax authorities. And if anyone thinks this is just a matter of a few fines for missing receipts or improper paperwork, they’re wrong. The scale of the issue is far more significant, according to “Gantsavitski Chas”.
As a result of the audits, taxi operators were assessed an additional 40.4 million rubles in taxes. Over the first eight months of 2026, tax authorities audited 10,490 market participants. An additional 1.8 million rubles were in administrative fines. After a review of their documents, 2,368 market participants received notices. They voluntarily paid 28.8 million rubles into the budget. Those who did not comply with the requirements were subject to further inspections.
As a result, 93 tax assessment notices were issued. Based on these, companies and entrepreneurs were assessed an additional 11.6 million rubles in taxes. Eighty individuals received administrative fines, and information on 43 market participants was forwarded to law enforcement agencies.
One company paid an additional 3.9 million rubles
At one company, the tax authority discovered that value-added tax and income tax had been calculated based on an understated amount. The violations covered the period from 2023 through the first quarter of 2025. The company did not deposit cash revenue into its accounts and paid drivers under commission agreements.
After receiving the notice, the company corrected its tax returns. It paid an additional 3.9 million rubles in taxes, including 0.8 million rubles in income tax. The data was forwarded to the Federal Social Security Agency (FSZN) and Belgosstrakh, which will decide whether to collect additional contributions.
