Trump Assessed The Likelihood Of A Russian Attack On Poland

The U.S. president noted that Moscow has been attacking Ukraine's allies for five years now.

Russia, the aggressor nation, has already struck at Ukraine’s allies. Moreover, Russian invaders have been doing this for the past five years, according to U.S. President Donald Trump.

He is referring to European countries. The American leader announced this on Friday, September 18, during a regular meeting with media representatives at the White House.

The U.S. president was commenting on Poland’s recent statements regarding hybrid attacks by Russia targeting European countries, as well as the growing risks of a direct attack on Polish territory.

“I think they’ve already been attacking Ukraine’s allies. They’ve been attacking Ukraine’s allies for about five years now,” Trump said.


He added that, obviously, everyone shares this view.

As a reminder: A U.S. military base will be built on Polish territory. Its exact location is likely still being finalized—the U.S. president stated that the location will be announced “very soon.”

In making this announcement, Trump praised Polish President Karol Nawrocki for his decisive leadership and called his Polish counterpart a friend.
