Ukraine's Victory: Two Russian Armies Defeated, 532 Square Kilometers Liberated

New details on the Ukrainian Armed Forces' operation in the Liman area.

The battles for Lyman at this stage of the Russian-Ukrainian war have, according to unofficial reports, ended in a victory for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

This was reported OSINT analyst Andy Schneider, citing reports from Russian media outlets. At the same time, Ukrainian official sources are publishing all information from this sector with a deliberate delay. Nevertheless, according to him, the 3rd Army Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces defeated and pushed back the occupiers, while Russia’s 20th and 25th Armies are retreating with great difficulty beyond the Seversky Donets River, hoping to hold their positions along that line.

Schneider also claims that Russian troops have lost Yampil. The author writes that over the past four months of counteroffensive operations and mop-up operations, Ukrainian forces have recaptured approximately 532 square kilometers of territory previously controlled by the Russian Federation and “gray zones” in the Lyman direction. Of this, about 479 square kilometers are in the Donetsk region, 32 square kilometers in the Luhansk region, and another 21 square kilometers in the Kharkiv region.

According to Schneider, a large Russian bridgehead west of the Zherebets River is now divided into four smaller bridgeheads. One of them is connected to the route toward Slavyansk, while the other three are small, partially isolated positions that, according to the author, continue to shrink.
