Ukrainian Agents Cut Off The Enemy's Communications Ahead Of A Powerful Strike On The Oil Refinery In Perm

Activists from “Atesh,” a military movement of Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars, reported on yet another sabotage operation behind Russian lines. This time, a communications tower in the Perm region was destroyed; a Russian Armed Forces soldier who had deserted from the Russian army cut off the invaders’ communications.

The sabotage preceded a strike by the Defense Forces on a local oil refinery and, according to “Atesh”, facilitated the defeat. The channel showed footage from the scene.

“Atesh” reported on how they cut off communications for the Russian occupiers in the Perm area—just before the Defense Forces struck the local oil refinery.

“Agents of ‘Atesh’ destroyed a communications tower near the city of Perm, Perm Krai, on the eve of the Defense Forces’ strike on the ‘LUKOIL-Permnaftorgsintez’ oil refinery on August 21. The tower provided a backup channel for the exchange of operational information between the plant’s security personnel and the military units guarding the facility,” the movement reported.

This sabotage operation had a distinctive feature: it was carried out by a soldier who had deserted.

“The sabotage was carried out by a Russian serviceman who had defected to the South Ossetian Republic. After making contact with the “Atesh” movement, he joined the resistance against Putin’s regime due to his disagreement with the country’s leadership’s policies and the lawlessness he encountered in the army,” “Atesh” stated.

The group claims that it was precisely “the loss of the control tower that disrupted data transmission and left security (of the oil refinery—Ed.) without reliable coordination.”

“Shortly thereafter, the complex was struck by drones,” added “Atesh.”
