Mikhalok light up in Sports Palace (Photo, video)

Lyapis Trubetskoy rock band played two-hour gig presenting programme “Manifest” in the Minsk Sports Palace on March 9.

According to “Salidarnast”, the concert was like a “sacral mystery” (as defined by Syarhei Mikhalok).

Sacral mystery is white-red-white national flags above the dance floor, Lyapis Trubetskoy on the stage, and Belarus Freedom in hearts.

It should be reminded that the band’s clip ”Ogonki” (Lights) won first prize in Russian “Chart’s Dozen. Top 13”. This prize is considered to be the main award in Russian rock music. Belarusian Lyapis Trubetskoy has won prize for the best clip for the second year.

Last year the band was awarded for their clip “Capital”, directed by Alyaksei Tserakhau. This year a clip by Tserakhau won in this nomination again. Besides “Ogonki”, Dolphin’s clip “Sneg” (Snow) and Mumiy Troll’s “O, Rai” (Oh, Paradise) were nominated for the award.

It should be noticed that Lyapis Trubetskoi has already won in nominations Band of the Year and Rock at Zvukovaya Dorozhka Festival (Russia) and in nomination The Best Rock Album and Grand Jury Prize at Expert.by Awards (Belarus). Besides, “Capital” on the list of top 3 best selling albums in Belarus for 2008.
