Medvedev called Lukashenka to Moscow

Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Dmitry Medvedev had a telephone conversation initiated by Russia on April 3.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Dmitry Medvedev may have another meeting soon. This was discussed during the telephone conversation of the heads of the neighbouring states on April 3.
“Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Dmitry Medvedev discussed topical issues of the bilateral Belarusian-Russian economic relations and agreed on personal bilateral contacts in the nearest time,” the press service of Lukashenka reports.
Dmitry Medvedev also informed the Belarusian ruler about results of the G20 summit in London.
It should be reminded that on April 2, the participants of the G20 summit pledged to restore confidence, growth, and jobs; repair the financial system; strengthen financial regulation; fund and reform the international financial institutions (in particular, the International Monetary Fund) to overcome this crisis and prevent future ones; promote global trade and investment and reject protectionism.
The participants of the forum agreed that the IMF and other international financial organizations should ensure $1.1 trillion to tackle the economic crisis.
By the end of 2010, amount to $5 trillion will be spent to help the economy of the G20 states. The participants of the summit agreed to allocate $250 billion to support world trade. These resources will be spent to insuring export operations and state guarantees to the companies, working for export.
Dmitry Medvedev said that another G20 summit would possible take place in autumn.
