Young social democrats rejected registration

The Ministry of Justice of Belarus rejected registration to pubic association “Young Social Democrats – Maladaya Hramada”.

Deputy minister of justice Ihar Tushynkski told founders of the young social democrats the refusal to register the organization was explained by contradictions in the charter of the association and the law: in particular, the charter doesn’t set rules of using property of the public association, Radio Racyja reports.

According to the official, the charter also doesn’t set order of member registration and order of appealing against decisions of bodies of the public association. Aims of the association, set by the charter, do not agree with the Belarusian law.

Member of “Maladaya Hramada” Alyaksei Sihaeu said commenting on refusal to register, there were errors in changes in the charter, but officials were also biased when considering documents for registration.

Lawyers are now considering a question on whether it is purposeful to go to law against the refusal to register the public association “Young Social Democrats – Maladaya Hramada”, but a final decision on this issue will be adopted by the central council of the organization that will gather for a session on May 17.
