Benita Ferrero-Waldner and Syarhei Martynau exchanged texts of memorandums of understanding in the sphere of energy.

As informed by BelaPAN, in this way the document approved at the Eastern Partnership summit in Prague on May 7, has come into force.

Benita Ferrero-Waldner has called that “an extremely important moment”. “Now we shall work on that,” she added.

In his turn, Martynau welcomed the European Commissioner in Belarus. As said by him, “bilateral relations are now at the qualitatively different level, but there is still much work to do for the both sides”. The exchange of opinions is to deal with this issue at the today’s meeting, the head of the Foreign Ministry said.

After the protocol picturing, talks between Benita Ferrero-Waldner and Syarhei Martynau continued behind the closed doors.
