Minsk riot militia against paper ships

On July 27, activists of “Young Front” let float 19 paper ships in a fountain near the church on Independence square.

The ships had inscriptions “For Freedom”, “For Independence”, “For Sovereignty”. The “Young Front” members celebrated the 19th anniversary of proclamation of the Declaration of Sovereignty.

The young oppositionists handed round leaflets with national symbols. They managed to hand round about 100 copies. When the participants of the action went away, riot militiamen began to check all young people with backpacks on the square, Radio Svaboda reported.
