Number of people died during the explosion at “Pinskdrev” is increasing

The number of people died from the explosion at Pinsk veneer factory makes up 5 people already.

Last night two more people died,the Prosecutor of Pinsk Svetlana Paznyak informed “Interfax-West” agency on Friday.

Last night two more people died – a man in a Pinsk hospital and a woman, who had been transported to the burn center in Minsk.

“All of them had vast body burns, up to 80%”, - S. Paznyak informed.

According to her words, at present the number of died people, who had received burns during the explosion in Pinsk, makes up 5 people.

She told that “within the frameworks of the criminal case which was launched on the fact of the explosion, the investigation is being held, witnesses are interrogated, the investigation is in progress. It is early to make conclusions about the reasons of the explosion”.

Medics specified that at the moment, there are 8 victims of the explosion in the Republican burn center in Minsk, 6 people are in Brest regional hospital, 2 people are in Pinsk central hospital.

The explosion and fire occurred at the territory of the CJSC “Holding company Pinskdrev” on October, 25.

The supposed cause of the accident – is explosion of deposition of wood dust as a result of violation of the operating regime of the equipment on production of fuel wood pellets.
