Statkevich to Lukashenka: Give back what you have stolen! (Video)

The candidate is convinced that in Belarus civil servants have the most expensive cars; corruption and bribes are flourishing.

Addressing the nation on air of the First channel of the Belarusian TV on November 30, the candidate for presidency, the leader of the organizing committee for creation of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Narodnaya Hramada) Mikalai Statkevich answered in his absence to the incumbent president, whose name of is not mentioned by Statkevich in his speeches, to the question why the oppositional candidate takes part in the election which had been called an illusion by himself, BelaPAN informs.

Before the answer Statkevich warned that he will “speak in the manner in which “he” talks to us”: “I know that you are seeing and hearing me now. I am taking part in your illusion for you to close your “Illusion” theatre finally, and stopped showing us your hocus-pocus with ballot papers. When millions vote “for”, and it is presented as “against”. In 1994 ballot papers were counted, you had been elected in a fair election, and you had access to TV. Return the free election. What are you fearing of? There will be people who will vote for you. […] I guarantee you 25% and a second round. Hold the election honestly. It depends on you only, and not on your clowns like the parliament and the CEC. If you win it honestly, we will recognize you the president of Belarus, and not an impostor. And if you lose honestly – you will have an honorary pension. But certainly if there would be no evidence that you had given an order to abduct, torture and murder your former friends Zakharanka and Hanchar. The murdered, their mothers and children also have a right for justice. Or maybe you are clinging to power so much as you are mixed up in that? Return what you have stolen! Return elections to us!” Mikalai Statkevich said.

Besides, Statkevich stated that he is ready to guarantee “the person who occupies the position of the president of our country” 25% of votes and the second round.

“We have not just an imitation of the election, we have imitation of life,” the oppositional politician believes.

Addressing the voters, the candidate once again urged them not to take part in the early voting and to come to polling stations on December 19.

Mikalai Statkevich warned that on December 19 by 8.15 p.m. he will know the real situation at the election and invited citizens on that evening to his name-day on October Square. As said by him, the voting day is St. Nicholas the Wonderworker Day, and Statkevich is the only Nicholas (Mikalai) among the presidential candidates.
