Workers of Granit plant still under pressure

One more member of the independent trade union has found himself under threat of dismissal.

Excavator operator Leanid Dubanosau failed an unscheduled electrical safety exam several times, Viasna human rights centre reports. According to him, “special” conditions at the exam were created for him. When he came for the exam with his friend, electrical safety supervisor Henadzy Bloshkin gave the latter exam questions and offered Leanid to apply to prosecutors to pass the exam. The worker answered he would go to prosecutor's office if necessary.

When Dubanosau made another attempt to pass the exam, Bloshkin called an examination commission. The worker says he has never had problems with passing exams before.

He will be dismissed if he fails at the exam three times.

The activist thinks authorities of Granit plant will not stop pressing on workers until the local  branch of the independent trade union is closed.
