Picket in Brussels against NPP construction in Belarus

The Embassy of Belarus in the Belgium capital was picketed on an anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.

Picketers raised posters in French and English: “Attention: contaminated area”, “Lukashenka is Chernobyl for Belarus”, “Putin is Chernobyl for Europe”, “Kremlin – threat of nuclear terrorism for Europe”, Radio Svaboda reports.

Dzmitry Pimenau, the head of the Belarusian-European Association, explains the sense of the last two slogans: “Belarus has no money to construct an NPP, so the money will be borrowed from Russia. Belarus has no specialists. They will be invited. A new NPP in Belarus is a nuclear power plant on the EU border. It means a nuclear threat for whole Europe.”

Picketers handed out leaflets in English and French informing about a danger of the NPP construction in Belarus.
