Reasons to be executed in Belarus (Video)

Polish TVN channel showed a report about Belarusian investigation, trial and death sentence to Uladizslau Kavalyou and Dzmitry Kanavalau.

A report “Reasons to be executed in Belarus” were shown to the Polish audience due to efforts of journalists Monika Góralewska and Volha Charnykh, who inspired her colleagues for a film and prepared subtitles in Russian, Belsat reports.

“We were limited in air time, so we included only the facts were were able to see and prove,” Volha Charnykh said.

Film co-author Volha Charnykh is a Belarusian political emigrant, who lives and works in Krakow:

“From my own experience I know how the Belarusian judicial system looks like. I monitored the proceedings from the very beginning. When clear falsifications resulted in sentencing two men to death, I felt fear and decided Polish people should know the situation,” Volha Charnykh says. “Journalist Monika  Góralewska cannot stay indifferent and began to act. Poles were most impressed by the fact the mother of one of the accused lived at victim's home [during the court process].”

Some footage was made in Belarus by a group of reporters, who faced unhealthy attempts to hide information.

“We proceeded slowly, because we had to collect pieces of materials about the trial from different people. The authorities held all possible materials in secret thus revealing their links with the crime. They gave information only to reliable journalists, for example those from Belarusian TV. The result of this “collaboration” was a wrongful, absolute inaccurate report “Metro”, which authors were afraid to say their names,” Volha Charnykh says.

Taking into account that the Belarusian “justice” did not dot the i's and we will hardly hear the truth about the people guilty of human deaths under the current government, we offer to your attention a version of Polish journalists who tell how innocent people can be shot in Belarus.

The journalist is working over  a documentary film about the Belarusian “terrorist attack”.
